Trick Or Treat!

October 31, 2009

what's in your halloween bucket?

Boo to all Royal Pet Club readers, it’s Halloween!

And it’s not just for the big and the little kids, either. If you don’t have a party to go to (or even if you do), why not dress up your dog in a fabulous outfit and hit the streets. Not only is it fun to see all the other costumes out there, but it’s great exercise for you and your dog.

While dogs can’t really go trick or treating (that candy and chocolate is bad for them), why not grab a packet of gourmet, organic pet treats and make it trick or treat, dog-style.

Reward your pet for his costume and give a treat to other dogs (give it to their owner to give to their pet, and ask permission first, of course) while on your very own Halloween Parade.

And take pictures. We’d love to see!

Safety Tip…

October 31, 2009

dogs of war...

Even though we’re heading in to the colder months in some states, in other states the weather will continue to be fair and friendly.

And that means jaunting around town on your bike (because riding not only is good exercise, fun and cool to do, it also reduces your carbon footprint, which is a great thing).

If you’re like a growing number of people, you want to take your dog with you. If so, we say, do as above and put on a helmet. Both for you and your dog.

Not only does it protect our precious brains from injury in case of an accident, they look doggone cool on canines!
