(Mainly) USA’s Endangered Animals

A little while ago, the LA Times online ran some photos of endangered species. While they’re mostly American, it is something I think  people should be thinking about.

With the oil spill off the Gulf still not cleaned up, we have to face the abuse we humans have heaped upon this planet of ours. I know most of us are doing what we can to be greener, and every little bit helps.

But it’s time to do what we can to change the bigger picture. There’s no need to rely on crude oil. There are alternatives. It’s up to us to help push our governments into different forms of energy. But even little things like taking the bus or train, walking more, riding our bikes instead of driving make a big difference.

There is solar power which in many areas is more than feasible: it makes sense. Use  cloth bags for your groceries.  If you’re buying one item, say no to the bag and either carry it or pop it into your purse or bag.

Just being aware that our choices affect all of the animal kingdom is already a step in the right direction.

Of course, these are only a few of the endangered animals in the world.

Here are the pictures… And think about it: what is it YOU can do to help our world, and our animals?
