I’m not entirely sure what dogs in wedding dresses (and grooms dress) have to do with Labor Day, but… Lauren Bush (former presidents George W Bush’s neice, and George H W Bush’s granddaughter) married David Lauren (fashion’s Ralph Lauren’s son) on Sunday in the Rocky Mountains; and music producer Mark Ronson married model-actress Josephine de la Baume in France on Saturday, so the video is quite appropriate.

No, I still don’t know what it has to do with Labor Day – oh, look! Those dogs on the video sure are cute, right? Pity they weren’t shinier and silkier, but that’s what they get for being born in 1956 (when the video was made…so they could have been born in 1955, but that’s simply nitpicking) when Royal Treatment didn’t exist.

So, let’s all enjoy the cute dogs and wonder why they’re in wedding outfits in 1956 England and ponder what is actually going on in that video and the rest of the film at large, and while we’re at it, be thankful that our very own Prince Lorenzo Borghese has labored away and developed this amazing and fantastic range of high end, organic pet shampoos and conditioners. I certainly know a number of dogs who love the shampoo and conditioner and spritz, and a few cats who say cat prayers (which is basically not attempting to scratch their owners skin into pretty ribbons come bath time) for the amazing dry shampoo…
