While we’re mostly about bringing your dog the best in dog grooming supplies (like our luscious line of organic dog shampoo for one), we also love to bring you stories and events that happen in the animal world around us. Like this adorable and extremely rare baby seal.
The little ginger seal was cruelly rejected by his mother on the cold, rocky beach of Tyuleniy Island, Russia. He was found by nature photographer Anatoly Strakhov, hiding under some logs, away from the other seals.
With ginger fur, pink flippers and blue eyes, he’s extremely different from his family who shunned him. And, he’s nearly blind.
Strakhov knew the baby seal would have little chance of surviving left on that beach. Luckily, he was there with a dolphinarium’s staff, who took the seal in to care for him.
