Introducing…The Cat Man!

June 30, 2011

This wonderful video introduces us to French street artist, Bela, or L’Homme Chat (The Cat Man).

He travels each day for hours on the train to perform in the South of France with his three beautiful cats. And they are beautiful, and so well behaved.

While some have accused him of drugging the cats, he says not, they’re just very much loved (check out white kitty’s reaction to someone accusing Bela of that, it’s great!), and they look it. They seem alert, but unfazed by all around them.

And, as Bela says, he’s not a vagrant, he’s someone who wants to entertain. He’s married, and at home there are six cats, two dogs and two horses.

Enjoy Bela and his cats!

Kittenzilla: The Mural!

January 15, 2011

This awesome (it pretty much makes us supremely happy when we look at it) mural, found in San Francisco, is pretty much what kitties would do if they had super powers, and eye beams….actually, most kittehs I know act that way, so it’s only a matter of time…

Click here to read more about the mural, and get acquainted with the blog that found it; Cleo’s Day.

Enjoy!

Tim Flach’s Dogs Gods

December 24, 2010

Amazing photographer Tim Flach has released a fantastic book called Dogs Gods, filled with stunning photos of man’s best friend, the dog.

Whether you’re a fan of dogs, a fan of great photography, or just love beautiful things, this is a must-have book.

While we’re a little late to suggest it as a Christmas present (well, if you hurry to your nearest bookshop, you may be able nab a copy), but it would make a glorious gift for someone special.

Check out Tim Flach’s website, or read more about the book here.

The book retails for $50, but Amazon has it on sale for $31.50!

Artist Alissa Eberle’s Upcoming Show

June 8, 2010

by Diana Waldhuber

Photographer Alissa Eberle‘s art focuses on the everyday things that one person sees as perfectly ordinary, and yet another sees as bizarre or surreal. She is also very much into photographing the hidden beauty and fantastically strange objects in the ordinary world around us. Part of her talent lies in the ability to see something as intriguing and different when the rest of us see nothing much at all.

Of course, one of her passions in photographing cats – show cats in particular, and the world they live in.

She is taking part in an upcoming exhibition at Philadelphia’s Bambi Gallery on July 2nd.

If you’re in Philadelphia and into cats and great photography, go check it out. If you’re not in the area, then click on the link on her name to see some fabulous photos of our feline friends and the intriguing world show cats live in.
