Epileptic Dogs – What Not To Do (Part 1)

October 29, 2011

If you were ever a fan of HBO’s singing comedy duo, The Flight of the Conchords, then you’ll most likely know this song.

“Song for Epileptic Dogs” was performed by New Zealand’s 2nd most popular folk duo in their second and final season of their titular smash hit. In the episode they were competing for the love of the same woman, and the cause they used to try and win her love was dogs with epilepsy.

The song is very funny, but epilepsy in dogs is no laughing matter. It is a manageable disorder, and one where, when handled correctly, a dog can lead a long and very happy life, to which we say yay.

Tomorrow, we’ll be bringing you a much more in depth article on dogs with epilepsy, but until then, enjoy some laughs and fun with Jemaine and Bret from Flight of the Conchords.

Oh, and remember, strobe lighting around epileptics: it’s not a good idea.
