Apparently they have memories of up to a few months, which is probably why the fish you were annoying when you were a kid kept giving you the fishy version of the side eye whenever you passed his bowl for weeks after the event). But fish using tools?

Personally, I’m worried about what’s going to happen when they pass the stone age and move on up! And if this is what this fish is doing, what have the dolphins been up to? Between you and me, I think it’s high time we treat all dolphins with respect, otherwise there may be a dolphin coup on our hands in a few years…
